About US Money Tools
What We Do
US Money Tools provides free, no-registration financial calculators built specifically for people in the United States. Our tools cover federal income tax, self-employment tax, mortgage payments, capital gains, sales tax, retirement planning, student loans, and more — the everyday calculations that Americans need but should not have to pay a CPA to get a quick answer for.
We currently offer 23 calculators covering tax, income, property, retirement, loans, and everyday financial decisions. Each calculator is designed to give you a clear, useful estimate in seconds.
How Our Calculators Work
Every calculator on this site runs entirely in your browser. We do not collect, transmit, or store any of the numbers you enter. The calculations use published rates from the IRS and other official sources for the 2025 tax year.
Our calculation logic is written in plain, auditable TypeScript. We use clearly named constants for every tax bracket, threshold, and rate, and we update these whenever the IRS publishes new figures. The last update to our rates and logic was on March 30, 2026.
Our Approach to Accuracy
- We use IRS-published rates and thresholds — never guesswork or unofficial sources.
- Tax constants are centralized in a single file, reviewed annually, and updated promptly when new rates are announced.
- Every calculator page states which tax year it uses and includes a clear disclaimer about limitations.
- We show the calculation breakdown so you can verify the math yourself.
- Our calculators use the standard deduction by default. If you itemize, your results may differ.
What We Are Not
US Money Tools is not a CPA firm, enrolled agent practice, tax advisory service, or financial planning company. We do not provide personalized advice, and our calculators do not account for every individual circumstance — including state income taxes, itemized deductions, tax credits beyond what is explicitly shown, AMT, NIIT, or other complex situations.
The results from our tools are estimates. If you need definitive figures for your specific situation, we recommend consulting a qualified tax professional or checking IRS guidance directly at irs.gov.
